2025 Plans

It’s been awhile since I made a post, so why not now I guess.

The zine fests were pretty good this year. I think it was my best year since I started attending them. Did a bit more trades this time around. Introduced metal castings this year which went well. Only have one of ten castings remaining. Haven’t decided how I want to handle that, be a bit silly to cart it around come next zine fest season.

Definitelies

This upcoming year I would like to finish New Testament. That will involve probably the fifth and final volume of the collected version. I also would like to make a large edition that is more closer to the actual pieces, will have to look into that once I actually finish. Maybe I’ll get to it this year, or might put that off till 2026.

Get Out of Bed, picked up a bit this year after not really selling. Somehow this year was finally the time someone asked me what a floppy disk was. This year I hope to finish my more complex interactive fiction, so keep an eye out for that. Not sure how I’ll package it, unfortunately my cats destroyed my floppy drive.

I plan to also finish The Descent of Cynthia Beetleworx with one last volume, bringing it to three in total.

Maybes

Derelict Ink the zine, will be paused for a bit until I finish all that. Though who knows, maybe I’ll get that all done with and have time to write a couple of issues. Going forward New Testament and The Descent of Cynthia Beetleworx will no longer be featured. I think it has caused confusion and am still debating removing them from the previous volumes. So my plans is to just stick with a single story made up of three poems and a section of prose to finish it up.

Yesterday I thought about creating a Derelict Ink RPG system for solo adventures. Ideally it would be a single page instructions, and then the rest would be a kind of choose your own adventure with dice rolls. Definitely nothing crazy new I know, but I think it be fun to make a couple.

Since the Superfluous Soothsayer Teeth did so well at the zine fests, I am tempted to make a new casting. It won’t be the same of course since I like the idea of keeping castings low count and unique.

Closing

With all that said it does seem like this year will be busy creatively for me. Hopefully it all works out and I’ll see you at the zine fests!
